Israel Randell (Tainui, Ngati Kahungunu, Kiki Arani) is a curator, artist and writer. Her work in this show responds to Matariki as a collective practice of reflection. The materials she uses are often in her immediate surroundings and her words strike the page in an emotive response to the kaupapa.
